AXXERON Technologies GmbH · Münster, Germany · Full-time · Permanent

Senior Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)

Group Controlling | FP&A | M&A

The AXXERON Group develops innovative technologies in hydraulics, electronics, and automation — high-performance system solutions for the international machinery and plant engineering industry. Around 250 employees, roughly €50 million in revenue, three business units, with further acquisitions not ruled out.

We are rebuilding our Group’s financial management for the AI era. Routine calculations — models, scenarios, valuations, standard reports — we are automating step by step. What remains is what software cannot do: asking the right questions, understanding variances, and driving through countermeasures. Your job is not to maintain spreadsheets, but to prepare decisions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Commercial point of contact for the managing directors of our companies — you discuss business development, challenge variances, and jointly develop countermeasures
  • Group-wide management reporting and monthly current trading
  • Budget, forecast, and multi-year planning, including maintenance of the central assumption logic
  • Critical review of all model outputs before they become the basis for decisions
  • Commercial support for acquisitions and the integration of new companies
  • Helping shape our AI-supported finance architecture

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in Group Controlling, FP&A, or as a Finance Business Partner — ideally within a corporate group
  • Solid command of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow in context
  • High affinity for modern software solutions, particularly AI-supported tools.
  • You understand the logic of complex financial models and critically challenge their results
  • High affinity for modern finance software and AI-supported tools — you actively use them and don’t blindly trust their output
  • You think entrepreneurially, are exceptionally reliable, and enjoy working within a structure that is still taking shape
  • Business fluent in German, good English

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of DATEV, LucaNet, Microsoft Business Central, and Power BI
  • Practical experience applying AI models in a finance context
  • Experience with corporate transactions, due diligence processes, as well as purchase price and financing matters

What to Expect

  • A key position with direct access to senior management — you report to the CFO
  • Attractive compensation with a performance-related component tied to the Group’s development
  • The chance to build a finance function from the ground up, rather than simply managing one
  • Based in Münster, with an expectation of predominantly on-site presence

We explicitly welcome candidates from the second tier who are ready to take the next step. What we’re not looking for: someone who only produces reports.
